News: The Russians are coming!

During March 2007 Locomotiv Moscow Rugby league team, sponsored by Impact Air Systems, will be visiting the UK to challenge Swinton Lions in the third round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup 2007.

Identified as one of Impact's major export markets, the Russian emerging economy provides numerous opportunities for Impact to market their range of Waste management systems. "In order to develop sustainable and robust export marketing strategies, it is imperative that we implement locally based engineering and project management teams, to enable us to provide our customers with the best possible services" adds Nick Ball, Impact's General Manager.

Additionally, it is Impact's belief that we that we should support community based projects in our export regions, hence our proud association with Locomtiv Moscow Rugby League team.

Locomotiv Moscow is one of the oldest clubs in Russia. It first took part in a domestic Championship organised by the Ministry of Railways in the former USSR as far back as 1937.

Locomotiv Moscow has been Russian Rugby League champions and cup holders for the past five years. In 2006 they supplied 12 players to the national team of Russia.

Since 1997 the club has had a successful junior section which now has 250 children playing Rugby league
