News: That enigma called Russia

The mystery that surrounds Russia and the anxiety and fear of doing business in this market, may have been good reason in the past for focusing on other market sectors.

 

“Not any more” says Alan Cresswell – Impact Export Manager. Alan has a history of successfully doing business in Russia stretching back over the past 20 years and has recently visited the Moscow region twice in the last 18 months.

 

The recent visits were undertaken with the assistance of the UKTI culminating in April 2009 with establishing a “Project Partner” relationship with Pragma Technology, Moscow. The Impact range of product and services for the paper, board, foil, film, recycling and dust control industries are now directly available in the Russia market.

 

The Russian Federation is the largest country in the world, with a wealth of natural resources - gas, oil and coal - the revenue streams generated by these commodities are being invested in the manufacturing sector, providing numerous opportunities for companies like Impact.
